ditching in the town?

i tryed landing an LVT in town,and i get a ditch,i was on concrete.

Vans you're lucky it was an LVT. Last Sunday night, LTARkils and I both had Tigers we tried to land in town, on concrete. I had 20 kills. I got a sucessful ditch.

OK Waffle, here's a thread on the GV's getting a "ditch" when landing on concrete in town. Now please fix it!

yes some times it gives you landed text, and other times it gives you ditch text...it needs a fix

I just guess landing on concrete in towns isn't a safe landing place anymore. So it's just like landing on every other type of terrain. If an enemy is nearby, it is a ditch. If no one there: Safe landing.

You will get a ditch message if you are not on concrete or not at a field or a town your country owns.  If you are talking about tank town on ndisles then this is a neutral town not owned by your country.

BTW.  If you still feel you're getting bad ditch messages take a 5 sec film each time showing the end flight and send it in.

We do land on concrete...maybe the town has to be popping to land? We dont really "own" it yet till town pops?

Thanks for the reply Sudz- no, it wasn't Tank Town city, was A1, Bishop held at the time, defending against attackers from Rook held A63. Will take advice and film it next time. Of course, that means I'll have to 'successfully ditch' my Tiger again.

Just make sure you land on the big parts of concrete.

I was in an osty whilst defending a town when Allied's tank shell took out my turret (the bugger).

I snuck around the corner with him VERY close to my position and landed my kills.

The long strip that runs adjacent to the big white fuel building is good for a successful landing.

I had that same scenario Bruv, turret out and the enemy closing in, I followed a cement path to where it joined a large traingular piece of concrete adjacent to some buildings. I landed there and I got a ditch!

well the thing is me and spikes have landed kills in town before but now all we get are ditches,were on pavement all around us and we get a ditches.

out of 10 sorties i only get 1 landing in town.
