lol. It'd outclimb, outturn, and out accelerate a 262. Had 2x30mm or 2x20mm in the nose. Firepower wouldn't be a problem. Range isn't a big issue in the arenas, especially when you can clear 500mph without diving.

Unless the wings were coded to be exceptionally fragile (and turning it into a hangar queen), it would be a ferocious killing machine in late war.

As opposed to ... say... every other plane in the game?

262 is a pig, it's nothing special.

The first He162 model had 2x 30mm, but consider the 2x30mm on the Me163. It's a good punch but it's gone in an instant, and the ballistics suck-o mucho. Even if we had the option for the later mark with 2x 20mm MG151/20, we'd still see a low ammo count (guessing it'd be around the 120 RPG area), still not much when trying to take down bombers.

Sure, like I said it'd be a cool "this is neat" plane but it wouldn't be very spectacular in anything other than speed.

no, if we get more bombers we need Russian, Italian bombers and also the He 111, if we get fighters we need P-39 and MiG-3, if we get jets its kindsa obviuos what I want, and if we get transport we need Ju52.
The MiG-3 is a cool plane and who doesnt want a MiG?

This game still lacks some basic planes that any ww2 flightsim should have, so IMO the 162 should be far down the list.

Its a wishlist tho :)
