Even in EW, a P40B is an exceptional rare sight. If you encounter a P40 there, its a E model (and even that is quite rare compared to HurriC, 109F, SpitV.

I think the kills/deaths stats work fine for all planes but the Arado 234. It's simply a plane that rarely kills and, thanks to it's performance envelope, is rarely killed. I would say the overwhelming majority of Arado's return to base without leaving a trace on the killstats page.

Same here. I used the 234 a lot for porking troops, back in the old days before the numbers of  barracks on fields were increased. But now I rely on the Ki for pork runs.

Did you say Arado ONLY had 200 kills? Uh.....for a plane with no rear visual and the guns mounted in the tail, thats alot! Usually smart people dont even take the gu ns, they are virtually useless!

I believe the reason CV bombers do not have formations is their historic use.  IIRC, CV bombers flew in much the same way as CV fighters, i.e. with a wingman, and in relatively small numbers, perhaps a squadron or two grouped together.

On the other hand, land-based bombers flew in MUCH larger numbers (1000 bomber missions, anyone?) and flew in a "box" formation, which is what I believe the three bomber set represents.

So, no, I do not agree that CV-based single-engined bombers should have the formation option that the land-based multi-engined bombers currently enjoy.

I would be nice to see formations for CV planes and instead of the
3 plane vic, maybe a line astern type, or abreast..whatever its called when its slanted off the lead left or right.

Its called Echelon Left/Right

SBD's would stay together to maximize defense, and peel off into line astern during the diving attack... Coming down in a "train" to drop their bombs... I think it would be workable, and very cool...

Formation select would be very useful at times...

Thats what I was thinking, train style instead of left/right.  I support this idea!

I've shot more planes down with those guns than targets hit with the bombs...

I would love to beable to up a form of TBMs, SBDs, or other carrier based bombers!  If the Ar234 could spawn from the CV, I would certainly try it.   As for wasting perks, the only good perks are fighter perks anymore, I cherish those and have few, my GV n Bomber perks.... I could really care less and I have plenty.  Go figure.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.
