I would love to be able to have a formation of SBD's or TBM's.

AS it is now, you can up an F4C or D and carry more hitting power than upping any of the carrier based bombers. Enabling formations would make the bombers a more viable option.

Why in the world you would perk a formation of B5N or TBMs?

I think the problem there is that unless you are level bombing in a TBM or a B5N, you would just lose the drones the minute you started your dive bombing run.

If you wanna dive-bomb using a naval plane use a SBD or Val, anyways. Its not very smart to dive-bomb when you can use a bomb-sight instead on the TBM and B5N, i do agree that formations would be helpful.

There may be reasons why the Arado is the least flown plane in the plane set.

I doubt it's the least flown. I see a lot more Arados than SBD's or P40B's.

Well it was never said or posted on the boards that I know of. However I think HT had problems trying to take a formation of Carrier planes off the short deck.

Or I could be all wet and he just decided that carrier birds didn't need formations.

234's my new Fav ride...I fly it 4 times 1 day on average.

yeah...go into offline and enable say a KI67 on a CV...the drones are floating off the deck.

Well, we only have kill and death numbers to work with from database HTC let's us see, not "use" or "takeoffs", but P-40B probably sees use in EW, and the SBD's sees some similar use in CV operations (SBD's accounted for around 400 kills in May, Arado just over 200). When comparing it's numbers based on deaths and kills, it comes in dead last: but even allowing for Arados that hit target and RTB, it's usage is still down with the Val, Kate, SBD, Bf 109E-4, and C.202.

The Arado is by no means a bomber perk sink. Personally, I'll use Ki-67's over a Arado.

OTOH, enabling CV bomber formations *may* increase their use in CV operations, over the use of F4U-D's in Jabo role all the time. A small perk price might be in order, but it still would not be any sort of perk sink to use up points, and I don't know if the code will allow a free prime ride and perked drones.

We might see more SBD's, TBM's, Vals, and Kates. Even if you lose the drones in a bad dive bombing effort, you've got two extra chances of just getting there in the first place, plus a few extra tail guns.

Overall, I think enabling buff formations from CV's would be a good idea.
