So today I substituted at my old high school. Ended up covering for my old Spanish teacher. Since my Spanish is fairly proficient, I actually followed the syllabus the teacher left, and attempted to teach the class.

The class is very basic SPA, and right now the kids are learning dates and months. So i'm asking people what month/date such and such a holiday is, and I get to Martin Luther King in the syllabus. So I ask, and not a single person knows...All of a sudden a sister says outloud, "you all racist...you don't know????"

Funny part of it is I asked her to respond, and she told me it was Viente Y Ocho De enero!!!!! lmfao. I kindly corrected her with the actual date, and then proceeded to ask her if she knew FDR, Truman's or Bush's birthday....of course she didn't know.

what a racist! lmfao........
