Skin Viewer Trouble
« on: June 13, 2007, 11:49:40 PM »
I've downloaded a second copy of AH in order to run that at HiRes so that the skin I'm making will look better.

The Skin Viewer does not work and it says 'No displayable information'.

Is this a fault or I am doing something wrong?

I need to try and use the skin viewer because my computer will not run the Hi - Res version of Aces High... it locks up and shuts AH down after about 5 seconds on the runway in Offline mode.

I'm hoping that I'll be able to view my progress in Hi Res through the skin viewer instead of the regular, low -res AH offline, which displays skins poorly.

2nd copy of AH installed???

Why?

You might want to troubleshoot your Hi-Res problem first.

I'd copy your original AH folder for backup purposes and then delete AH, reinstall the game and then install the hires pack.  Play the game with the default settings first to see if you still have problems.

Good luck with that.

Have you tried reinstalling the skin viewer in the skinning AH directory?

I have the skin viewer installed with the Hi-Res version.

Two versions of AH because my computer won't run the Hi-Res version and having a playing version and a skinning version saves me re-building the cache every time I change the settings.

I ran the Hi-Res game with all the terrain and object detail at minimum and the game ran, so it seems that the only problem is with the actual viewer itself.
