The idea is not to intefere with a 1v1 unless a guy asks for help.
Nowhere in the MOTD does it gaurantee 1v1's. Plus very few new guys are looking for pure 1v1's and you know that.  Many new guys have never flown in an arena with limited planesets. The first time they get their 109 blasted by a Hurri IIC, and can't up a Hurri IIc of their own to retaliate is probably a bit of an eye opener. That's what this arena offers is the historical plane matchup. That's the draw, not 1v1's, I don't understand where you get the opinion AVA is for 1v1's.

The nature of the AVA at the present time is that it usually boils down to a single furball between two bases. Anybody who has flown in here more than a couple of times knows the pattern. Anybody in here for the first time should be able to see the patteren immediatly. It's always a single furball between two bases.

To engage in the furball, then whine when you get shot down, or to whine because your side is whittled away to the point where your outnumbered for a couple of minutes is lame. It happens to everybody that flys in here, probably everytime they fly in here.

It's not one side beating up on the other, it's a few people thinking that whining is going to somehow eliminate the fact they got shot down. It doesn't, if nothing else it just highlights their lack maturity. Everybody gets shot down sooner or later, everybody gets outnumbered sooner or later. I'll go 4 or 5 sorties getting spanked each one sometimes before I get into the flow of the fight.

Again worry about your own conduct and the rest will take care of it'self.

Posting negative crap here, or spouting negative crap on 200 doesn't help the arena. If you can't see that, or can't refrain from it, it's obvious your own ego and self promotion come before what people are trying to do to bring the AVA back up.

I just wish everyone would abide by the MOTD then it would be a whole lot more fun.

Seems some of you don't like being called out on your HO shootin.

*sighs*

tooth I respect your skill but have you missed the point of the pm?  Nobody likes to be called out publicly especially on message boards and in game.  It accomplishes absolutely NOTHING.  Never has and, in my very vast experience on online communities, it never will.  If you think I HO you, gang you, vulch you, kick your dog, steal your wallet, etc.., by all means fire away.  I've had worse online and I'll either say a) sorry dude or b) I disagree with your point of view but understand your frustration.  But IN MY OPINION it's better served to keep it out of public view and discuss any situation behind the scenes.  Who knows you might make a new friend out of an old enemy.

Fighting on the internet accomplishes nothing more than making the participants look like a bunch of angst ridden teenagers with emo themed myspace profiles.

I will HO you and not even flinch, nor feel a twinge of guilt about it. You need to lighten up.

Is this the place where I can say "I know what you are, but what am I?"

Geez, stop it, both of you.  The kids will hear you.

ok heres my take. I have known Slash and Duke a long time and have fought them for a long time. Slash has yet to ho me (in the AvA), i think he hos in in the MA for laughter LOL but still not many in the MA. Duke has never hoed me, he has helped me when i get ganged (like 3,4,5 v 1) he offers it when its 2 v 1 but i say no cause i love those fights. both of these gents are good sticks (Slash needs some more training tho hehehe). If you are set on saying the peopled hoed you then send in a film or snap shot showing they hoed you to their email or PM it to them. enough is enough on this board. wasting space with this stuff. if you think they have to ho you to win the fight then do a 1v1 in a distant spot in the AvA and have someone trust worthy to watch it. :aok

:aok   spot on....... could say the same myself.......

also like to add, I am not much for giving any trust to a screen shot, they can be manipulated to where it looks like a HO or it looks like a High Angle Deflection.best and only way to prove a true HO incident is to offer up the film for proof....

just saying.........
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC
