Hmmm:

Spits aside, I really wonder why the 190s get so ignored in AH. I hardly ever see a 190 which isn't a cherry-pickin', ack-runnin' stereotype Dora dweeb.

Sad, really.
... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

So I was flying around tonight in my usual rides (F6F, C.205, Ki84), and decided to try out the spit 8. I've never really messed with any of the spits, save the occasional seafire from the CV.

Wow the climb rate was awesome, and the speed was great too once I got it going.
What a great little all around plane....I think I'll practice it :t

I hope this had nothing to do with our C205 Spit 8 duels a few days ago.

That was a fun night.

Hey Dan that Picture of when you were at the gathering with the other RAF pilots, what kind of a spit was that that they let you sit in the cockpit?
