Does anyone here own a high-end headphone?

What I mean by high-end headphones is that headphones that costs more than $100.

What brand should I get...

Sony MDR series
Bose
Technics

Well the TV says those Bose sound canceling ones are elite, but I think they are $200 or $300.

I had a pair of Koss and a pair of AKG's in the past...

the Koss were incredible, but not as easy to get anymore.

the AKG's can be had at any local guitar center.

Ps. the ones I had were used for home recording originally then got used for AH.

true sealed studio headphones can not be surpassed in sound quality and immersion IMHO.

i've been using Grado 125's for about 5 years now. i love them. you should be able to get them for between $100 and $140.

I wouldnt mind owning a pilots headset though

I did radio for 23 years.

Headphone-Meister? I've heard 'em all.

Sony V-6000 (or the latest equivilent) are the best. Expect to pay around a c-note. Best for ALL audio.

DO NOT get sucked in by the $30 to $50 sets.

After they blow up at HIGH audio, ur done.

Double check the Ohms requirements of your receiving system.

Medusa 5.1 are pretty good. Full surround sound in a headset.

Are you talking about Sony MDR V600? I read some reviews about it and it's said that MDR V600s have "too much bass" and "overall sound quality is muddy" compared to the MDR V6 ( a 1980's model that's still reveredd today)

Bose sucks. The headphones are just as bad as their speakers.

AKG, Grado, Sennheiser, or Shure.

A $100-$200 pair of the 4 listed above will SMOKE the Bose costing more.

once had a $1200 yes i mean 1200 pair of top of the line sony digital headphones that are just about as 733t as they get they have loads of feuatures like noise canceling and have double enduring wire they are supposed to be able to withstand any fall etc... and i got em as a gift
