Any Chumbawamba fans out there?
« on: June 21, 2007, 01:03:40 AM »
Just got 'Singsong and a Scrap' last night. Anyone have their newest album? And do you know where I can find copies of the older ones? The only two ive been able to get are 'Tubthumper' and 'Singsong and a Scrap'. Theyre one of the few bands I REFUSE to download from limewire. Theyre music is good, and they deserve my money! :D

By the way, I was quite surprised at their change in style from Tubthumper to Singsong. Is this their new trend? Its not bad, just... unexpected. My 3 favorite songs on it: I dont want to fade away; Walking into battle with the lord; Laughter in a time of war

Any other fans out there? lol

Theyve been making music since then, lol. Singsong came out in '06, and they released a new live album this year.

I didn't realise they were still going, i thought they were a one hit wonder with tub thumping.

Actually, they have some GREAT stuff other than that. In fact I would only rate it maybe 8th on the list of their best stuff. I would recomend 'The Big Issue', 'Mary Mary', and the above three.

Are you kidding?  The members of Chumba PROMOTED the shoplifting of their big CD Tubthumping when it came out.  I find it ironic that the only music you don't steal is anarco-punk.

Wow I didn't know they were still around. I remember a buddy coming back from being in the Army and stationed over in England in the late 80's with a tape of their songs. I copied it and had the tape up until around 95-96 and lost it then picked up a CD from them in 97.
