Another gem from 1970s
« on: June 21, 2007, 12:27:39 PM »
I listen to this beautifull Hungarian band for maybe two months now, discovered some albums in my local network.

They also issued some records in English, but usually not as emotional as in native language.

So Radio Iron Curtain introduces [drumroll] Omega from Hungary!

Lordi probably borrowed they dressing style, but this Hungarian guys are usually quite serious (at least as I can guess from English translations).

That's like..gheeeyyyy :D

Tune is catchy though. Pity that not much pop music came from the east in times of the Beatles, Deep Purple, Eagles, .....(insert infinate list)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I really like that guys, and they look like real 1970s rock heros :D

They are the authors of the "White Dove" song that was played by Scorpions in the 90s.

You didn't miss much. Looks like the best tunes were copied and played by Western musicians without even mentioning real authors, but 90% of what we had on radio and TV was dull crap. Some bands made very impressive things, but they were either banned from the air or simply underground... :( And they were years behind the West in recording technology or instrumental abilities. The only genre that was tolerated by the regime was disco :(

Baroda, i've been listening to this edgy north Korean group a lot lately, got to be one of the most underated groups around http://www.robpongi.com/pages/comboPOTATOPRIDE.html
