Hey all, first post.

25,00ft up, currently flying, fuel low but I can glide home, going for 30k, P-51B.

Update.:Whats my service ceiling in this thing, just hit 30,000 feet.

Update.:Somehow I just crashed, maybe broke up because I was up too high? Wish I got a screen-shot when i was 30k up :P Whats the best plane for flying that high?

It's fun doing HQ raids in the MA with B17's at 32k.
Just you, your 2 drones, and 4 other b17 formations that are part of your squad.

1 hour later, you land with 1 plane left, full of holes and each squaddie lands kills with you.

Here's a pic of us climbing out.

Here's a 25k mission in lancasters to HQ.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

Succesful Bombing from the Maximum Opporational Ceiling of the B-17G, 35,700 ft. (Actuall, 100ft ABOVE ceiling!). Yes, I still hit my target SPOT ON!

No, you wont reach 40k. When you get to 39,995, you will mysteriously and unexpectedly start flaming and go into a flat dive. You will try to bail out, but you catch fire in the proccess. After you do get out of the flaming plane, your flaming brain realizes you forgot your parachute. By then, the plane is to far away, and you think about what to do. While your thinking, you will hit the ground with a loud *SPLAT* and all thats left of you will be a big pile of smoking jelly.

:D 40,000 feet :D   Wikipedia says the service ceiling for them is 43k but I'm going push it to 45 then land.

^ Panel showing my altitude, Couldn't make it to 41,000, i'll try in a different plane.

Outside the window at 40,000 :D  see the curve? :D

Of course, i had to go straight down and see how fast i can take this thing, almost didn't pull up in time, made a weird noise on the way down, some serious rattling, almost thought it was gunna break apart. Sure it looks smooth but it was crazy as hell inside. (Below). Cut the engine when i leveled off (Also below).

Landing was messed up, floated too long and messed up my engine on touchdown. i messed it up on an earlier flight amongst the trees that never happened in my P-51 :p maybe propellers are just that long?

I like how up at 40,000ft your losing alt as indicated by climb meter, but elevators are fully trimed up and u have a notch of flaps outs... I myself am GOnna test this but with my Bird this time.. :D
