I believe that if you are in a plane with an ENY less that 10, every kill you get should count as .5 of an actual kill.

EX.

"You have killed SkyRock #0.5"

And it goes up by .5 from there.

That would still be twice the value of an LTAR in a plane. :D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

So, we are going unrealistic now when the point of a simulator is for realism? In WWII sides didn't complain saying, "Well, you were flying the La La, you cheated!" and therefore were awarded less of a kill. It was either a kill, an assist, or no kill at all.

Youre thinking of the Germans. Americans and Brits were awarded fractions of a kill. Eventually, a whole kill was awarded, but it was devided amongst several people sometimes.

Did the LW count heavy bomber kills differently than fighters?  I recall reading somewhere that the bombers counted more.. I don't recall where I saw that, but I do seem to remember not exactly thinking it has a 100% creditble source and I haven't seen it come up again.  Can any of you LW types shed some light on this?

They did not count ase more kills. One bomber shot down was still one kill.

But the bestowal of decorations was based on a point system on the Western Front for some time.

In this system, a 4 engined bomber was more points worth than a twin engined or a fighter. Even damaging a heavy bomber, so that he had to leave formation ( so called "Herausschuss") was granted with 1 or 1/2 point (don't remember the exact value right now).
