Meteor Mk1 and Mk3 got credited for 14 V-1 intercepts (13 by gunfire, 1 by using the wing tip to flip the V-1), and credited for strafing 46 German aircraft
on the ground. It tended to draw friendly fire from pilots and gunners who thought it was a 262. They were not allowed to fly over German held territory due to the fear of even wreckage falling into enemy hands. It was no faster than prop planes at altitude, but was faster down low. It was more useful as a propaganda tool than a weapons platform in the closing days of the war.
It's air combat contribution to the war is nearly non-existent. V-1 intercept, fast recon flights, and some ground attacks. It saw more friendly fire than enemy fire.
It's like arguing to include the
Consolidated B-32 Dominator or the
Avro Type 694 Lincoln into the game.
And as to the 'Vader, by VE day there were 48 squadrons of A-26's were in operation among the Fifth(Far East Air Force), Seventh (WPTO), Ninth(ETO), and Twelfth (MTO) Air Forces, and more squadrons of medium bomber crews (A-20, B-25, and B26) coming from Europe and training to fly the A-26 against Japan. They didn't get the high profile strategic missions, but spend their time attacking tactical targets: munitions, barges, communications centers, trains, bridges, crossroads, marshaling yards, and any military target of opportunity they came across. That, and it would be a good perk bomber addition to the game for folks that don't care for the Arado. Might even put a dent into the "bomb and bail" tactics buff drivers who don't need perk use.
