exactly shuckins.. the point is.. they can make our life hell without even passing new laws..

There are already thousands of gun laws on the books.. these can be interpreted in some pretty draconian ways with the right guy in charge.

The batfe is a useless organization full of guys no one else will take.   It's duties are overlapped and it has to get some spectacular arrests from time to time just to get it's funding up.. just to fool the idiots in congress.  It just added the "explosive" part to it's name to make itself seem like it had a purpose..

It would add "cg" (crossing guard) to the end of its silly acronym if it thought it would get funding.

before waco, the ATF was going to be merged with the FBI, the ATF had to do something big to show they were a important organization.

the raid on waco was set, media was alerted, the operation was code named "showtime".

And "Showtime" it was. The only problem seems to be that is now remembered as being about as important by the general public as an old movie.
Very good damage control and the use of smoke and mirrors.
You shuffle the cards enough and an Ace is bound to show up on top sooner or later......................bu t more likely is the fact that people will get bored and uninterested if it is not rocking their boat, personaly, at the time.
