I figured maybe it had something to do with the sound layer but I did transmit to myself online. I heard the beep but no voice until I practically yelled in the mic then barely heard the transmission.......I need to calibrate my mic....

Not sure if the screens are the same, but bring up your sound volume sliders (double click systray icon), make sure mic is turned up, THEN go to the menu and choose the other menu (if it defaults to "playback," go to "record," most overlook this slider.

Once that's done look around for the "+21dB boost" option for the mic. If the 2 sliders are up and the boost is checked, then make sure your AH sliders are turned up in the setup screen.
