It had gas cannisters in it designed to explode...

The incident with the JEEP that was on fire happened in Scotland which is about 14 miles from my house. The airport I believe has remained closed. The guys actually had petrol bombs in the Jeep and are believed to have been about to firebomb the airport.

Between this and the recent London event . . . I'm glad these particular terrorists were so incompetent.

May their incompetence continue . . .

the point of my post is, Gordan Brown was NOT VOTED INTO POWER by democractic process. Hes been backstabbing Blair for the last 2 or 3 years, and now hes leader of our country? fantastic....

Being a political leader here isn't chosen by the general populus.  It's chosen by the paid up members of the political party.  Once a "leader is chosen i.e, voted for by said paid up political party members, then it has a figure head / leader.

In a "General Election", an election of the populus as a whole, even then we do not vote for political leaders.  We vote for our local "Members of Parliament".  Labour, Conservative, Liberal, Independent or plain old Monster raving loony party all have a right to our votes in our local areas.

In the present case Labour has more MP's than the other political parties.  As for Mr Brown now being the leader and now Prime Minister he was given that position by his party as a whole.  In other words there were no other candidates that stud against Mr Brown therefore, the Labour Party was happy as a whole, for him to inherit the leadership.

It wasn't the government behind the plot it was the tabloid press if anything.   Sales of bull***t to the dumbest bunch of UK citizens musta been down this week.  God save the Sun or Daily Mirror, now their readers can talk bollocks in tea brakes or down the pub on the various ways to castrate the perpetrators and, dump them in the north sea from the bomb bay of an old Lanc.  <-------  joking.....kinda
