Here at the 68ROX Ranch:

BBQ'ed Giant Lima Beans (from dried) Homemade BBQ Sauce

Grill Smoked Garlic Burgers with Arkansas Dry-Rub over charcoal

Mississippi Whole "Roasin' Ears" Corn on the cob, soaked 24 hours on cold water and sugar, and cooked & smoked in husk over charcoal

French Fries

Homemade Potato Salad

North Carolina Cole Slaw (mustard based)

Beer iced down in a cooler since lunch.

Might smoke some yardbird on the grill if the hamburgers all dissapear.

Depending on your family, throw in a few dumb relatives attempting to blow their fingers off with the few hundred dollars worth of fireworks they bought...add in dogs who are afraid of firewoorks looking to hide anywhere they can until they go home.

Happy & safe 4th to you all!!

having a party with friends, family, and neighbors. We have games (Horse shoes, bocci ball, ladder ball). then we'll have a camp fire goin to roast marshmellows followed up by a series of fireworks set off by some of the craziest members of my family (plus three 3 inch festival balls that we have hidden in the field to surprise em all)

My father invited the whole family to the golf/country club he belongs to..then promptly forgot and booked a trip for which he leaves tomorrow (4th).

So, we're all heading up there without him.  But...he's picking up the tab.

Happy 4th pops!

Just me & the g/f this year, no fireworks :(

But we're eating good...

Bison Sherpherd's Pie for lunch

Brisket, roasted corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw, corn bread.. mmmm

No sauce! Unless I make a special sauce for that meal, you're insulting my food.  The brisket is just that good.

got a bounce house for the grandkids and neighborhood preschoolers and their folks.  grilling all manner of fauna and have dozens of cases of beck's.  those that don't like Beck's can have beck's dark.

I'm gonna mooch off the neighbor's bbq so whatever he cooks up is fine with me.  I'll bring some beer as a peace offering but I'm not gonna be picky :)

Going to have our BBQ with a German/American family in the congregation. So a synthesis of German food with traditional American BBQ. All I know for certain is we are bringing the beans and the Guinness.

Keeping it fairly simple this year-Burgers, patato salad, maybe chips for the kids. We'll be over at my Mother-in-Laws, the kids will probably soak in the pool, and when everything's done, we'll dish out some Ice cream.

Going to my uncle's on nearby lake Richland Chambers. My cousin is bringing his band. Merriment to be had by all.
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.
