Little Mosque on the Prairie is a Canadian sitcom on CBC Television created by Zarqa Nawaz. The series focuses on the Muslim population of the fictional rural prairie town of Mercy, Saskatchewan.

I am curious on how this show comes across to Muslims.

There is probably a fatwa in their future.   There is no possible treatment of the subject matter that will please the Islamists, and my guess is that even westernised muslims will not have much of a sense of humor on the topic.  Non-muslim people, at least in north America, might not be able to laugh much either considering that these days, muslim = BOOM

No doubt there will be a fatwa coming especially when it airs in France, Switzerland, and in French-speaking African countries beginning in July.

Have not read/heard any negative comments in the press, not to say there hasn't been any.

I was surprised when the local kids thought Baber had a neat costume, calling him Osama, on Halloween night.
