Would like to take the family out in the boat today but most all the lakes around DFW are closed because of super high water covering the ramps. Lake Grapevine last year was about 12 feet low and now is 18 feet over full pool. It will be hitting the spillway shortly. Glad I don't live in the flood plain.

One cannot believe how much rain we've had...

I'd go down to Lake Cedar Creek but looks to be storming again this afternoon.

Indeed, I was in Kansas City last week and it rained/drizzled nearly the whole time we were there. Best wishes to anyone caught in the flooding.

We have not had this much rain in 137 years here in the month of June. July has been nothing but rain either so far and we are having some flooding. Forecasts for one week ahead sais.... rain

Down here in south texas we've had NOTHING BUT RAIN the past month. It's july and I have yet to water my yard this year and it is green as can be. We've litterally had rain every day for the past 4 weeks it seems. The last few days we've had it hard too. I'm not just talking showers I'm talking monsoon torential down poor were the streets instantly flood and you can't see 6 feet in front of you.

I just got done draining about 6 inches of water from my pool because It was about to flood.

Seems to me that less than 5 months ago there was considerable complains about the drought in Texas, including the hill country. Is the drought over?

I believe it's something about global warming and whatnot Maverick. Although I also heard someone talking about el nino.

If you want to see rain, check out what happened to Sheffield, UK last week. That's where I live by the way. June saw 270mm of rain when the average is about 67mm for that month.

We had 100mm in one 24 hour period. The RAF SAR choppers rescued over 100 people who were stuck on rooftops around the city.

Yeah ive been wanting to run outside to get in better shape, but nooo it has to rain.

I guess its making up for all of the droughts weve had, or its Global Warming.

As for the rain in Texas, sell it to California. We're meant to have had 23" by this time of the year. So far we've had 3
