20 Years now

I smoked cause I liked it. Quit cause I met a wonderful woman who didn't like it, so no big deal, I stopped smoking. Don't crave a thing, never did, and smoked for 10 years.
I get a kick out of all the products out there trying to help people quit smoking.
It's really easy to figure out. If you continually Try to quit, then you don't want to quit. Don't kid yourself. Light up, don't fall into that trap. You either want to smoke or you don't. There are no degrees, no phases, no increments, no debates, no "steps".
Here's a neat trick to prove my point. Take a hammer, any size will do, they all are effective. Now, start smacking your head with that hammer. Ok, now, "Try" to stop.
Look it's easy, that hurt like hell, so you Stop, do you chew gum and have cravings for that headache? Nope, not so much. Toss the stupid gum. Quit smoking if you Want to quit and move on with your life.
It takes the human body exactly 2 weeks to break a habit. 2 weeks. If you constantly Try to break the habit, you never actually do, so that 2 weeks never comes. Come on, you're stronger than that. All the advertising saying that you Need help to quit, It's a marketing trick to recapture some of the cash that you Now have available because you don't smoke anymore. Fool and his money, and all that.
If you want to quit smoking, put the damned thing out.
