Best Fights

I know most of us have always had great fights; Furballing, 1vs1, 2vs1, etc, etc,. But what fights really stand out in your mind?

I know I had alot of great fights myself but these stand out in my mind.


Not in particular order


1. Furball with Rooks: Battle for 43; I wasn't sure if I wanted to stick with the SPIT or the 51D;(and obviously, I stuck with the 51) The whole fight probably lasted about two hours. I would up, get a few kills then got splashed myself. I believe in the end the rooks took our base, at least it was theirs be the time I got back on the next day


2. Furball with Bish: Have had many many great furballs with them and the one that really stood out, although I don't remember what base or map, it was for an base that probably took us about 2 - 2 1/2 hours to take

3. Furball at FT: Back on the donut map over ''Scrap Metal Lake'': Think I landed 12 kills on one upping

4. Two great 1vs1: Sad to say I don't remember their names but got into really good dance with one fellow pony dweeb and the other was 109; Thankfully I won both

5. 262 VS 262: It was BISH harassing our guys at one at a base we were trying to take. I had the perks for it so figured, no harm no foul on upping one my self. He was still there when I got back and he must have seen me because he took actions right away. In probably what was a 5 minute battle and much damage later to my plane, I managed to get my first and so far only 262 kill while in one

6. 3 vs me: Two Ponys and SPIT: I don't know if I was lucky on this one or they were newbies (I'll just stick to my lucky answer) but both of them were all over me but I managed to knock one down, was getting on the six of the last one, did a quick snap shot that took off his tail, and looked up just in time to see a SPIT diving on me. On a move that i learned by watching YUCCA, managed to get him to overshoot me just long enough for me to killing burst on his tail as well



I look forward to getting back online, hopefully be the end of next week or in two weeks

U should come to KOTH events if u really want good fights.  We just had one yesterday and there will be another on July 28th (sat 9:00 pm EDT).  Some of the best sticks show up for it.  U can learn alot there.

3 vs meh, with more upping.... oh what a day that was. the rest of my formation were either rtb or destroyed and i was left behind and charged with the task of holding a1 at all costs until a relief force could come in and CAP it until the C47 arrived, it was a furious fight. I found myself stuck with half to full flaps in my FM2 as I was dived on again and again by spitfires, a F6F, and a Yak9T (think it was a T), it was a mess! I managed to spray the hell out of the F6F but being the bullet sponge that it is I didn't destroy it although he had to of been missing sumthin, IIRC I got the wing to break off the yak but after ducking and dodging  for what seemed like forever I was finally overwhelmed and shot down,  the relief force arrived soon after and promptly avenged my "death" very fun though, being outnumbered is great sometimes:D

The last fight in 109Fs I had with Stang, when I was finally starting to get the hang of it and live longer.

And then an F4U 1A fight with someone, can't quite remember who, but it was flaps down gear down low on the deck stalling fun (and I won in the end ).

My best fight was watching Arturo Gatti Mickey Ward 1. It was a great fight.

Had a good one the other night against Karaya and OddCaff in Yak9u's against my P38L. I started at 10kish and they started at 12kish and we ended up otd. In the end OddCaff ran into me and died, and left me fighting karaya with one engine. I wish I could say I won but had no E and was left otd helpless as he made passes.

I had a lot of good fights, many in KoTH... unfortunately Picture Hangar is down, I'd like to post the movies

1) First KoTH in december 2005, had a great fight against Wadke in F4U-1 (can't remember exactly which model)

2) in KoTH, a fight in C.202 against Sniper68;

3) Just yesterday, one of the most amazing, wicked fight I've ever had, always in a KoTH, an 11:50 minutes fight in D3A against SteffK.... simply awesome!

And many many others in MAs: every time I meet Chanzz's Yak9U, against Wadke, Furball, Filth, Twinboom, VonHoltz, Raptor, etc etc... just some days ago, I had a nice fight against a group of rooks near one of their base, I was alone, took 2 of them before ditching with dead engine....

There are still countless great fight in this game, despite the whining! (GIMME BACK MY FT!!!!! )

Only fight that still after all of these 5+ years of playing is the 1 vs 1 I had with SADS.   I was playing this game for not more than 6 months, and caught his Spitfire OTD.   What followed was a 10 fight, with me turnfighting a 109F4 and keeping lift at 90 IAS.  

No whines, No cussing, No rude comments afterwards.   Just an adrenaline induced mental fatigue that I crave, and Salutes.

best fight has to be between me and domin in his h2h room, was a bit back, we were in spit 8s and had a 7+ minute long rolling fight it was insane then i got owned

and i have had a few good fights with a bunch of guys akdogg for one, da with skatsr and some of the blue knights

Watch out for bad attitudes like teh infamous SkyRock's, "I own you!", because it actually does happen!  hee hee:aok

My best fight that i can recall was a 1 vs 4, me being the 1.

I was in a furball but was on the losing end and ended up outnumberd.

I had saddled up on a spit and was waiting for the kill shot, happend to look behind me and saw 3 more bogies giving chase, and gaining on me at a descent rate. when they wer all 400 to 800 out I quickly chopped throttle and broke hard right. I heard the overshoot and quicly manuverd in behind 2 of the bogies, and managed to shoot them both down at same time due to them being so close together, the third contact on my six was farther out so i actually pulled infront of him but right after downing the other 2 i went inverted and pushed up no throttle and flaps, and i watched him slowly go past me. He relized what happend but was to late to do anything about it, i quicly put rounds in him and blew him up. by the time my speed was low, and the spit i was on from the beginning had moved back in and took me out. but killing 3 out of the 4 was satisfying enuf for me;)

17 kills, one sortie, in a NIK2 then RTB with no ammo, LA5 and NIK2 on my tail with enough speed to keep attacking me.
Evaded them all the way home for 30miles losing an aileron and elevator then being rescued by a friendly as i get to the ack zone and getting a proxy on the la5 as i touch down on the runway.
filmed it too.
