This has been on my mind for quite a long time and now I feel like saying it.  In the German language the word Das means That, I dont see why you would like the name That Muppets.  I believe that the words die and der are more along the lines on the word the and are used for different
subjects, der for the masculine and die for the feminine.

BTW yes i know im going to get flamed but really i dont see whats the big deal. Oh and please tell me if i am wrong.

Das = the
Der = the (masculine)
Die = the (feminine)

I knew taking German in college would be helpful one day :)

It can also be that.  Der and die can also be these or those.

And people thought English was confusing.

Well maybe my german teacher is trying not to confuse us by just saying that Das is "that" for now.

Either way maybe the squad name should be Der Muppets or somthing. I dont know :rolleyes:

"Die" Muppets would be correct, not because "Die" is feminine, but because it' also the plural form of "Der" & "Das"

Der Mann - Die Männer  (the man - the men)
Die Frau - Die Frauen (the woman - the women)
Das Kind - Die Kinder (the child - the children)

therefore:

Das Muppet - Die Muppets.

But who does really care? :p

When Mustaine saw Fester get conned into flying a K4 he made the commit "What are we the Das Muppets now" which made Fester laugh.  So Fester changed the name as a joke and we just ended up keeping it.
