Host connection lost
« on: July 10, 2007, 12:38:14 PM »
Okay... so.  I had taken a break from AH for a week or so.  (due to all the fricking lag my computer manages to muster up to annoy me)  And then my friend called me to go camping up north with him for 4 days.

Anyway, I come back and my computer is slow as can be.  It literally takes the internet 15 minutes to start.  I start playing AH 2... and it takes about 10 minutes to load the screen that allows you to choose which arena you want.

Another 10 minutes pass as I load the MA, and POOF... I wait 10 minutes only to have HOST CONNECTION LOST.

So then I tried another arena, did the same thing.  HOST CONNECTION LOST.

So now I think it's just a virus, I ask my sister what she did to my computer.  And she said, it wasn't her, it was her friend.

God knows what her friend was doing on my computer.  So I ran a virus scan...

50 viruses detected, I get rid of 'em.  Try AH again, and it still says HOST CONNECTION LOST.  I run ANOTHER virus scan... 53 viruses detected in just 15 minutes.

I told my friend this and he told me to get an anti-spyware thingy majig.  So I did, scanned it... and it picked up nothing.

The third time I run the virus scan it finally picks up nothing.  I try AH and BOOM!  HOST CONNECTION LOST.

Is it just that my computer is dying?  I am pretty sure that the viruses I keep getting arent the problem, they don't even pose a threat.  It's not my internet connection.  Because i can play other games online...

Please tell me how to fix this.  I WANT TO PLAY AGAIN!  :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry

have you tried deleteding it all and redownloading. The virisus could have crouptted some of your files so make sure you delete them all. IE not only control panel add and delete programs.

first goto my computer then click on local disk C then click on program files then click on HTC then Aces High and delete it all then delete Aces High folder then Delete HTC then goto control panel add and delete
