On the clipboard if you click on the war status, then pick a field. You can find out if the troops are disabled, ord, fuel, 3 kinds of hangers, etc.

But what you don't get is what % the town is damaged.

That would be very very helpful information both to attackers and defenders.

Yeah a lot of times people ask "What % of the town is down?"

You have to guess by looking at it.

I use to wonder why the town status wasn't included and it took me a long time to figure it out.

At some point someone would sit and click on every shore base until he/she found one being attacked by a CV. Stealth goes out the window with that information being on the clipboard.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Original coad did not include towns and town objects as a qualifying criteria for capture................

The status reports go waaaaaaaaaaay back just as the

VH
BH
FH
Fuel
Ammo
Barracks/Supply
radar

stuff does

(although field fuel functionality has been modified)

IIRC the town qualifying function was originally (when latterly introduced) a % factor ie #% of the town had to be destroyed before the maproom could be destroyed/captured by troops. In the COAD this may still be the case but simply set to 100%.

In which case the report could  be ground defence disabled/enabled or simply a % report of the amount of town down. (as the % is already in the COAD somewhere)
