Want to join an active squad, UK based, that isn't too strict on what you fly, but enjoys doing squadron tactics.  I understand the need to fly the same plane as ur wingman for coordination, just if i'm off by my lonesome don't want to be restricted  on what I fly.   Am an old AH player.. 2000-2002..  but need some brush up on my skills.  Also if there are squad meets that are a requirement, I cannot make weeknights.  Would prefer a knit squadron, but willing to move if need be.

Fav planes :  P47, P51, 190a5, Yak9u.. but I will fly anything once.  :)

Vox comms is a requirement for me.

Edit:

History:  Was CO of 272 Squadron "Whispering Death" for over a year, also flew with "63FS "Zemke's Wolfpack" for awhile.

I appreciate your interest Bosco, and while I would love to fly in a P47 squad, I'm looking for a UK.. or even a european based squad, simply because its impossible for me to make a US timezone squad night,  Especially during the weekday.

71 squadron...

60+ members, from all over the world, mainly USA and UK, but a lot of europeans and a couple of aussies too. there is pretty much always someone, and usually 5 or more online. UK primetime (7pm GMT - 11pm) we've had 20+ on quite a bit. a lot of our american members fly UK kinda timezones too, because of job timings etc.

knights, vox channel 171. just go ahead and jump right on, and fly with the guys. if you like us, we can chuck you an invite :)

squad website:   http://www.71sqn.co.uk

we're a fun, if not a little crazy bunch, but lots of good sticks, including many long time vets. we mainly do fighter stuff, but there are no rules, manditory squadnights etc. you fly what you like when you like.

knights channel 171. come and check us out. look forward to flying with ya :)

Hi Kronos,

Im CO of the 71 sqd. RAF. We have quite a few UK / Euro folks in our squad. We are a very loose squad in that we don't requier you fly one plane. I for one fly the 47 and pony alot.

We are a SPit squad originally and on fighter sweeps do fly the Spit (some variant) at least one sortie. Then we will fly anything as a squad after that. It has been known te se 71 sqd in 10 - 20 Ponies or 10 - 20 Jugs...38's....F4U's...F6F's.....just whatever we feel like at the time.

WE DO NOT have an established quad night. We have enough people in the squad and they are all over the world so finding someone online MOST of the time is really not an issue.

We ARE KNIGHTS and will be staying knights.

We don't play the land grab base game. WE have and will capture a base every now and then , but mainly we are a fighter squad. We defend and furball and ocassionally escort some buffs here and there.

We have a few guys that LOVE tanking and a couple that LOVE buffs.

IF you are interested in learning more feel free to PM me or tune to 171 Vox in game. Give the guys a holler and tell them RedTop sent ya. Try us out and see what you think.

Hi Kronos,

My squad The Few are a UK based GMT squadron.  As a rule we don't accept Americans into our squad due to time zone restrictions.

Theres no point being in a squadron if you have to stay up all night to fly with them.  We have around 20 members 80% British 20% european.

In game we do a bit of everything and have a laugh.  We use a 3rd party vox server which is free to use and is much better quality than in game.

Tune 119 in game, recently we have been flying Rook/Nit  but we arent country specific and will swap to even the numbers if needed.

My main aim is to unite all British players into one large British squad, but this has been difficult due to chess piece loyalties and the scattering of long term British players into American based squads.

Also myself or Kazaa are willing to train and British players willing to learn.

all the best

Bruv

fly with both our squads for a few days each kronos, see which you prefer. both are knights atm. both are great squads, but they do have differences. try both and see which one fits you best :)

the few are really only brit/euro, 71 have a good mix, so there's always someone online whenever.

Oh that doesn't sound right lol

Had fun flying with ya last night Kronos. That was our furball stuff. Didn't get to do a big fighter sweep. Maybe next time.

I think Biggles is right. Fly with both our squads or several, see what you think and pick the one that you will have the most relaxing and fun time with.

Although i am partial to the 71st, it is a great squad
