i would defintely familiarize myself with the location of the ELT switch...

also knowing the basics is a heck of alot different than incorporating them into a successful landing without wiggin out behind the controls.

Ive got 8 years of f16 avionics traing with flight controls as a specialty, i got a chance to fly the f16 simulator at luke AFB and it was all i could do to keep the plane straight and level. The instructor  launching SAM"S at me didnt help either...he thought it was funny though

if you are some guy that does ot put his gear down on landing...then...I would not say so...

If you takeoff, land, do everything right...you might have a chance.
