i would defintely familiarize myself with the location of the ELT switch...
also knowing the basics is a heck of alot different than incorporating them into a successful landing without wiggin out behind the controls.
Ive got 8 years of f16 avionics traing with flight controls as a specialty, i got a chance to fly the f16 simulator at luke AFB and it was all i could do to keep the plane straight and level. The instructor launching SAM"S at me didnt help either...he thought it was funny though
