WE should all chip in and send them away to Sweden or Norway, or even up to the Yukon, plenty room over there, failing that, Ship them off to Iraq and tell them to fight and then they can become legal.

Not saying that's the plan RIGHT now but it WILL happen in time.  Some well respected academics also foresee a currency for Asia.

You'll have the Euro, Continental America's Dollar and the Asian Yenpee ?

I`ve had to cut back to two Harleys. Man it`s rough over here. :)

By looking at the number of sly remarks and thinly veiled insults I conclude that I must have unintentionally hit a nerve.

Xargos, yes I'm aware of the fraud that is known as banking. Pretty scary when you think about it.

the company I work for is a global supplier.  We benifit on the weak dollar against our european competitor so we tend to view this development as a good thing.

The US doesn't export enough to offset the weak dollar against the higher foreign currencies. What needs to happen is for the US to raise interest rates to generate foreign investment in our long term bonds. BUT that isn't going to happen because all of the banks got fat and happy on the sub prime mortgages and they think that the housing market is what drives the economy of our nation. They are wrong. Our nation depends on being able to be an exporter of material and other things but we have lost that capability. One other point. When I sold my house here in Birmingham we were able to pay cash money for the next one and were able to pay off almost all our credit cards. As soon as we get my vehicle and my wifes vehicle paid for we are in the clear.

As for home prices...don't look in areas like Detroit and Indianapolis for indicators on the housing prices. The manufacturing left there a long time ago and went south they just don't realize it yet.

I agree that we need to change things but one man (Ron Paul) isn't going to get it done. We need something on the order of 10-15 million who think just like him to give the establishment a run for their money.
