Try the G-2. I say this because if you become proficient in the F-4 you will also be proficient in the G-2. It's got more horsepower (so much better climb, acceleration, and better top speed when level) but it also retains a very similar turn radius compared to the F-4.

It also has gondolas and WGr 21s. Like a F-4 on steroids.

I love the 109F,G-2, and I don't know why but I like to fly G-6.

I don't know why I like to fly G-6 but someone please just put a good reason into my head why I love it.

Because it's uberly awesome :p

The G-6 may not seem so 'out there' as the other 109's but if you're already kicking arse in the 109, why not try some other variant you've always liked? Kinda like me and the Spit IX. Doesn't really serve as an uber fighter like the XVI or the VIII but its fun. though, i really am not that good.

Download Firefox. It has a built in spell checker. As for grammar and punctuation, perhaps there is a plugin available?

*waits for the inevitable grammar nazi to correct his*

And MrTalon - what do you normally fly? I'm trying to get into 109s but am finding it difficult to leave the safety of my Spit5 and 8....

Do you have any tips?

If you are coming from Spit V & VIII, the easy way to get into the 109 is to start with the F. It's reasonable close in performance and a true turnfighter. That way you can get used to some of the originalities all 109's share like the wing slats, the centerline armament and the stiffening controls at high speeds.
If you are comfortable start to work your way upward: G-2, G-6, G-14, K-4, experiencing a mighty increase in engine power while suffering from worsening turn ability and handling.

I too for some strange reason love the G6. The F and G2 are fun too, but i always find myself back in the G6.

RUDDER!!!!!!!!

All the 109's LOVE RUDDER INPUT!

TORQUE = roll right wing up add throttle, roll left up reduce throttle.................

FLAPS! when you hit 200 mph or less get those flaps out!!!!!!!!!

G6 fan here also. I usually fly the G2 most of the time but the G6 just looks nasty. I dont seem to get a hang of it as easily as I do with the G2, its slower, slightly more sluggish but imho the firepower has increased quite a bit. Bit sad they dont have the option to carry 200rds [edit: in game].

well i'm getting pretty good with the 109 F4 as i stated above, turns great, firepower is optimal since my gunnery is above average. Just got problems shaking skilled pilot's who slow down to get off picking shots behind me :cry
