another cool new addition would be bridges and rivers, ive played AH for over a year now and i have never seen a river or a bridge other than the train bridges. and im not just talking about putting them in random places around the map i meen like between a base and a spawn point. this would make the game more realistic please

Maybe we can get Mr Black and his CIA operatives to be modeled in the game.   They can cross rivers in rafts.  :noid

i have a feeling that if these were modeled some one would find a glitch to create jesus gv's that go over the water.

Yep, agreed, you need to check out some of the SEA event maps offline.  Japan's and the detailed one around Stalingrad (Japan1 and Karelia) for example... Very nice maps with lot's of roads, rivers, and rail systems.  Big sprawling cities too.

I've love to see that level of detail in the War Arena maps.  Destroyable objects too, like bridges, marshaling yards, communications centers, convoys, river traffic and merchant shipping. The kinds of things attack plane and medium bomber pilots could have fun with.

Dogfighting over a large city, or making a bomb run on a target near one.
Be very nice eye candy.

I am sure you will see rivers/bridges in the MA soon. There are new default tiles which are rivers so they are allowed in the Ma. Japan and Karelia have custom made stuff and would not bee seen in the MA.

I love it, it opens up more tachtical otions, dstroying bridges to deny enemy access to a area, or having to hold a bridge for the same reason.  It gives a challenge, but somebody is going to start whining about it making things to hard, I say they should do it and ignore the whining.

I agree.  We lost the rivers on Trinity when the big maps went away.  We've never had bridges over the rivers in AH but that used to be one of the more fun options to GVing in AWI.  It was also fun flying under them in a dog-fight and watching your pursuer slam into the bridge.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

it would be nice to have bridges and more destroyable objects but because of the numbers of players the main arena maps need to be pretty simple.

The simpler they are the less problems with bugs and crashes well that was the excuse when it was 1 large arena, although now with 4 small arenas it would be good if we could get more detailed maps in at least 1 arena at a time to see how far we can push the limit of main arena  maps.

I,d like to see PT boats able to use the rivers.

would add a new dimension to the game.

The new river tiles are usable by PT boats.

BUT at the moment the transitions into larger bodies of water are fubar. And something needs to change with water above 0. Rivers typically run downhill.

We had a Rhine map for the SEA and CT that had rivers with PT spawn points, and V-fields to try forced river crossings with amphibs.  Had some bridges too, but at the time there was some bug that prevented GV's from getting up on them.

It would be cool if the GV bases from the Karelia map were made default for all MA maps.
