Does anyone know the dates when F4U-1, F4U-1A, F4U-1D, F4U-1C and F4U-4 entered service?

Yet again, take with salt as it's WikiPedia.

A Rook who first flew 09/26/03 at the age of 13, has been a GL in 10+ Scenarios, and was two-time Points and First Annual 68KO Cup winner of the AH Extreme Air Racing League.

F4U-1 first saw combat February 1943
F4U-1A is a little hazier, as the designation was retroactively applied, however they first appeared in combat in late 1943
F4U-1D/C and F4U-4 were 1945
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Did the water injected F4U-1A appear only in 1944? Not necessarily OUR Tom Blackburn Hog, but the actual water-injection hog itself.

Water injection was late 1943 (water injection is one of the key divisions between the historical 1 and 1A. Technically, even our birdcage Hog is a 1A).

I thought HTC deleted water injection for birdcage F4U-1. Why do we still have wep for buirdcage F4U-1?

What would be F4U-1's top speed without water injection (WEP)?

I'm crying foul.  We don't have a "real F4U-1" birdcage for late 1942 - early 1943 range.
