Used to be LAs, Spits, and N1k2s in any combination.

Nowadays I don't see *too* many n1k2s, fewer LAs, still see a sh**load of spits (9s,8s,16s). What I have seen is a surge in P38s, P51s, F4us, and 109s. Not in great numbers, but they seem to make up the bulk of most fights.

Most used plane in the last few tours is the P51, followed by Spit XVI, LA7 & N1K.

i used to fly spit 5 and land like 15+ kills then used navy planes and now spits are so f***ing annoying i h8 them all

I find all the P-47s to be quite superior to the FM2. Either that or the FM2 pilots just really sucked...

P47s are superior to FM2s. They are faster, accelerate faster, climb faster, zoom WAY faster, dive faster, are stronger, have more guns for better snapshots.

The only area the FM2 is better is pure flat turning. If a P47 gets suckered into slowing down that doesn't make the P47 any worse a plane, it just means it should have done a loop instead of a turn, or a yoyo instead of popping 4 notches of flaps to keep an aim on the enemy.
