How many pounds of bombs does it take to kill a CV?

i'm not sure if i'm overkilling or not....but i hit them with my ju88's......i carry 4 500kg under wings, and 20 50kg internal.......i drop the 4 500kg on the carrier....if i hit it, it's sunk.

It's the same amount of ord with torps, you need to hit the CV with 8,000lb's of ord, weather it be from bomb's or torp's.

Last version (2.10) they doubled torpedo damage.

a torp is equal to 4650 lbs or so... it takes two to sink a carrier at default setting in AH .

Most people attack CVs and ships at the side while on a torpedo run. I wonder if you can damage/destroy a CV by attacking at rear or head-on with torpedoes.

From the rear, the torp would have a hard time catching up to the CV. From the front, you've a narrow target to hit.

Usually, I kills CV's with a flight of Ki-67's. I can get them over target faster than heavy buffs -- their speed makes it hard for some 5 inch gunners and interceptors, and I like the 20mm dorsal mount on the Ki-67. Use the 8 X 100kg option, and I use 2 salvos of 4 with minimum delay. If first run looks off, I only drop 1 salvo and try to make second pass.... if I'm on a good run, I drop two close spreads.

8,000 lbs. will kill a CV? They why do Rook and Knight buff drivers have to dive bomb and drop 42,000 lbs. of bombs to kill my one GV? Something wrong with the math here.
