Which, out of all the sound packs here, would be the best to download? And how would i go downloading it and getting it on AH2? I haven't done this yet and would like to get all the help I can so i get the best stuff.

I can only recommend Ranger's, Fruda's, and Mitsu's, as those are the only ones I have been able to get so far. The best sound pack is when you get them all and then combine the best sounds out of each.

Rename your old sound file "oldsounds" or "sounds1" or anything else you want, just not "sounds". Then extract the file you downloaded. Rename the extracted file "sounds", and place that in your folder C/documents and settings/HTC/Aces High II, or wherever your Aces High II folder is on your computer. Make sure it is not a sub folder, and the only subfolders in the "sounds" folder are the individual planes.

TY all for your help I succsefully downloaded Rangers sound pack and its great and works, I'm gonna look for some better sounds if i can.

I was finally able to get Waffle's, and it's a good sound pack too. You can find it here: http://jojoke.1g.fi/AH2_materiaalia/Wafflesounds.exe. It is probably one of the most sought after sound packs there are, and for good reason.

I recommend mine, as I only use recordings from the actual aircraft and weaponry (which is the main reason why updates are few and far between these days).

Though that's not to say the other sound packs aren't good --- they're great, but I still recommend mine for the highest level of authenticity. I've rebuilt my entire database several times over, thanks to subsequent floods of higher quality source material... So, if you download any of the packs currently on my site, you're getting very old, edited source material, and believe you me, it doesn't sound a tenth as good as the stuff I'm working on right now.

And do keep in mind that, since I'm going for the highest level of authenticity, I don't model my source material for headphones --- engine sounds are loud, gunfire is equally loud, and explosions are earth-shattering. Fly through a sky littered with flak explosions with the default sounds, and you won't even think twice about your safety... Fly through the same stuff with my soon-to-be-released explosions pack, and you'll jump out of your seat (turn those speakers and subwoofer way up for the best effect).

Sorry if this is a bit shameless, but I take a lot of pride in my work, no matter what that work may be.

i will check yours out Fruda sounds cool. I talked to TwinBoom in TA today and he says his is nearly finished and from what he told me it'll be awsome.

I use Sketch's. He was E.O.D. in the USAF. He is now stateside. His have been the best so far.

I cannot find the old soundpack what am I supposed to do then?

You should have a folder named "sounds" in your Aces High II folder.

Fruda, perfect timing.

The soundpack I had used before I knew I had used the one that someone had gone through the trouble of colllecting the actual sounds from the actual planes I just couldnt remember whom.

I was just about to write a post asking that very same question.

As for sound folder.
Here is what I do.

On my hard drive but not in program files I keep a file named "AHIGH" in it I keep anything Aces high related in a series of folders.

Smething like this

AHIGH/Game DL = The full uninstalled game
AHIGH/Movies = Any movies WWII related or films other then the game format type

AHIGH/Sounds = For the various sounds
AHIGH/Sounds/Original =Where I copy the original sound folder to
AHIGH/Sounds/(name of soundpack)

etc etc

This time Im going to take it a step farther and burn them to CD LOL

I go for the actual sounds that was in WW2 though you cant get all the real sounds yet.
