No video posted yet but the TV footage is pretty immpressive. Hundreds of acetylene and oxygen tanks cooking off beside I35 in downtown.

I'm downtown right now. I've heard the emergency vehicles, but there's so much construction going on here at Main St. that I didn't notice the explosion.

I'll head up to street level and report back once I get back from Court.

There were still a good number of emergency vehicles getting to and from the Scene. Someone ran into a traffic light on Main Street, but I don't know if that was at all related to the fire. More than anything it just added to the sense of disorder.

There is a pretty major police presence at the Federal and State government buildings. I went to the 4th floor clerks office which had a pretty good view of the smoke, but not enough to see the actual fire.

All in all, everything is just a little "off" downtown, and you can smell the smoke now and again depending on the wind.

Another sad example of Rooks trying to take Tank Town....

But in all seriousness.. Hope all goes well. I've been thru the 12 Loop area alot in the past few times in DFW.  We had a same incident here in Tulsa, OK about 2 1/2 Years ago... them cylinder tanks can haul arse, frikken rockets.

Good Luck Dallas !
