Sure can.

It's actually two different films from two fights at the same base within about 20 minutes of each other. Same guy both times however.

Had the same exact thing happen a while back, BGTazz filmed it and sent it in. It was a F4U attacking our V-Base. Now mind you he was a complete F4u when he started attacking but after several hits with my Osti and BGTazz Unloading everything he's got from his plane into we Whittled it down piece by piece until it was just a engine and prop flying around. Never did get a kill on him.

I posted about it here in the BBS and BGtazz sent the film in to HTC. Never did hear anything else about it.

Dan isn't the kind of guy to mention names, which is why you don't see it in his original post.

HTC probably doesn't talk about things like this because if there is a problem it is likely best solved quietly without fanfare. And so long as the problem is resolved, the rest doesn't matter.

It has happened to me before as well, usually during a "bad connect"
kind of night. Saw the same guy flying an LA-7 around that was down to
just a cockpit

He ended up landing too...odd.

Well it would be neat to think of it as packet loss......however given

Hits are recorded on the agressers FE and damage is accumulated on the victims FE .

If other players see the damage then there was no packet loss (the La was flying and manouvering in every other respect as if undamaged)

Given that I would only assume that thru some glich the La's FM remained unchanged regardless of damage...............

I have seen wierd stuff which could be as a result of packet loss IE wingless planes flying on and sometimes seeming to carry out basic manouvres but they always update them selves eventually.............this La landed that is a quite complex manouvre for a plane with no wheels and half its body work missing.

Noooooooop, the packet loss could be at the receivers FE. That would explain why every one else could see the damage. The guy proly lost UDP (or... er never mind) and due to some bug the receiving link never re established while the sending was still workin

Easy to explain. His flux capacitor was only operating at 50%. He needed more jigawatts to get it fully operational.
