I have, in RL, landed on a rwy that narrow

Was in the co-pilots seat BTW.

In Alaska there were a few places where people who lived along the highway owned airplanes and kept them parked in their front yards. Their runway was the highway (one lane each direction). I think they've put a stop to that in the past couple decades.

I wonder what the emergency was. The engine certainly sounded normal and there was no oil on the windshield. Just a nice narrow runway.

I'm not certain that was a windsock, it could have just been a decoration.

Looks like a forest service marker. Engine sounded fine, wish there was more detail behind the landing. As far as we know, it could just be a drug plane.

Talking about emergency landings..

Me and a friend were working on the side of a house that was right on the beach, down in Melbourne Beach, FL. We were were working on some wiring outside between the two house and it was pretty quit outside, all you could hear was the ocean.

Next thing you know, we hear this engine start right above us, we were like WTF because it was literally right above us... look up it's a single engine piper. The guy was probably 150 ft off the deck coming in for an emergency landing on the beach. He happened to get lucky and got the engine going just before he was going to land it right on the beach.

Like 10 - 15 mins later he came back by much higher heading home. lol The engine still was sputtering some, but I assume he made it home because there weren't any crashes in the news.

On the road from Anchorage to Valdez, I can't remember the name, you can see many homes with planes parked in front. Using the hiway for a strip is still alive and well although you can see more dirt strips paralleling the hiway these days.

If the insurgents attacking us in Iraq do and can post it the same day they attack us, I'd say a drug runner would be just as bold.

Insurgents are trying to get propaganda value from their attacks. I'm not surprised that they do it. I've seen a number of them.

Smugglers make money and rely on keeping low key. Only a fool of a smuggler would document their actions.

Maybe the pilot had to take a wizz.

The wingspan was greater than the width of the RWY, and this was only a Cessna 172. But we landed, and then physically turned the aircraft and taxied it away. RWY was quite rough and quite higher than the sides.
We were "called down" by flight control because of fog conditions. We saw a windsock, a strip, and landed. Turned out to be an airstrip under construction, lol. They only had taken the line.
The fog actually did as forecasted, crept in and completely halted all flight in as well as in and out of the whole country. Total soup.
Was quite an experience really.
