Well anyone who wants to use these textures can easily resize them.Quality is pretty good down to 256x256.

Only drastic change is the res file size.

I tried doing this, I went to attributes and changed size to 256x256, but on the ones with land (transitions), it cuts off all but the top right corner. It doesn't just make the whole thing shrink down to a smaller size. Do you know how I would do this with MS Paint or MS Picture It 7.0?

Are you sure you are resizing all files, including _a ones.
Remember to change colors to 256 and on _a files to 256 grayscale.

That's not his issue, when he re sizes the files using MS Paint, he can't re size the actual image, he can only cut off parts of it as MS paint reduces the frame not the picture. And after 3 years of experience with MS Paint, I still have found no way to re size the image by typing in the desired pixels and letting the program do the work.

McFarland, your best bet is going to be IRFanView, it's free and the download is located on MrMidi's website for AHII TE tools and accessories.

I guess you need almost 20 years experience....

Image... Stretch/Skew...stretch by equal percentages. A 1024 x 1024 bitmap stretched to 50% in both directions gives you a 512 x 512 bitmap.

Yes I suppose, I rarely go "exploring" with menu features.

MS Paint has many useful, and simple features that allow you to pound something out in minutes.

"Select All" / Grab the handles and drag to resize your bitmap while watching the size numbers at the bottom of the window on the tool bar.

Most people don't realize Shift+G while zoomed x 6 or 8 will display a pixel grid. It's all in the help files.

Still, it's only one layer, with limited tools and the color pallet at 256 colors will drive you crazy until you increase it, but nothing beats MS Paint for working fast. Add i_view, a little GIMP and you can do almost anything.
Easy in-game again.

I see many have downloaded these textures and I actually saw a few new h2h maps using these textures.

I will now make the full set of these textures, each tile type different, in these "summer" or "snow" themes

Croduh are you working on a complete set of tiles?

if you are are you going to submitt them in to skuzzy to see if they can be added to the game for use in future main arena maps?

Skuzzy said they were looking for new terrain tiles for different seasons and aeras a long time ago, maybe its worth a shot

New set of textures completed along with clutter(still needs some fixing though).
Rock houses just fit in great into Mediterranean tiles.

Btw, last picture is from my SEA map in works;)
