Question about scoring
« on: July 30, 2007, 04:37:32 AM »
To illustrate my question here's a hypothetical situation:

Pilot A only flies a P-40B

Pilot B only flies an LA-7

If both Pilot A and Pilot B shoot down 10 identical planes, let's say FW 190A-5, in the same amount of time, sortie and hit rate, without dying themselves, will their scores be identical?

Or is recognition of the inferiority of the P-40B and the superiority of the LA-7 also calculated in?

In other words, would the P-40B pilot receive a higher score for downing a superior plane and the LA-7 receive a lesser score for downing an inferior plane, or is it 1 for 1 straight across the board?

[edit: I'm not talking about perks]

Best Regards

The scores would be roughly the same.

Differences in time and ammo would affect the score (the LA being faster with 20mm cannons would probably kill faster than a P40).

Here's the formulas.

P40 would rack up MAJOR perk points compared to the La7.

However Score would not differ as much as the perk points.

Thanks Blooz and Ghosth.

I didn't think plane types were calculated in score but wasn't sure.
