I have heard of a head to head "contest" between G36 and 416 the 416 has won outright or was bought as replacement to existing G36.

The Norwegian Army is phasing out it's AG-3's (Norwegian G-3A3) not replacing their G36's with the HK-416. They only use G36s in small numbers anyway.

Wulfie ever fired the Hk-417 (chambered for 7.62 x 51 NATO).

Thats correct Bruno.

As far as i know only the costal rangers use the G36 now, and they were issued them to test em out as a possible replacement for the AG3

Just after the contract for 8500 HK 416s we also signed one for 6500 MP-7s to replace MP-5's. They are smaller than the MP5's but appartently better in every way. Would be cool to try both teh HK 416 and the MP7 :)

-edit- looks like we got that 417 20" sniper version too.. that looks even cooler
