Keyboard issues

I did a few quick searches and didn't find anything.
I have problems with only SOME of my function keys, namely F3 (ext view) and F6 (bombardier).

Obviously I remapped them to keys that DO work, but I am wondering if this is a somewhat common problem with any known resolutions. If not is there a way to help troubleshoot?

The keyboard is a cheap-o G&E, of unknown model.

Look for an f-lock button on your keyboard. That might free them up if its a media keyboard.

Well thats the thing. Only SOME F keys don't work. F1 is fine. I think F12 is fine....

And there is no modifier.
