I had the amazing opportunity to spend an entire weekend with Archie last summer during Corsairs over Connecticut, and all I can say is what a guy.  Mid 80's, and he will still as smart and witty as anyone i've ever met.  It was truely an honor to spend time with this man.

Yea, it was an awesome weekend, wasn it Rob?  Out of all the guys, Archie was the one that stood out, and just this past Sunday, George Areson and I were talking about him.

Awesome guy, and he leaves behind a beautiful wife!

My Deepest sympathies to his family and my thanks to him for serving our great country at it's greatest time of need.

Note:  A great deal of our WWII Vets enlisted into our Armed Forces.

Reason: They thought it their duty.

I am privilaged to still have my father at 85 years of Age.  He served for the duration of WWII.  I couldn't love or respect a man more then my father for the many sacrifices he made for me...before I was here and after.

Alas we are losing these men at a greater pace now.  I wonder what the world will be like without their sense of duty, their quiet demeanor, and the confidence they gave to us all.
