Field Captures

I was just thinkin last night after me and 12 squaddies decended on a base like armegeddon and wiped out everything in under 1 min just to have someone with oppertunistic tendencies just run in with a goon and take the capture, that wouldnt it be nice if in addition to kills the SYSTEM also anounced who got the field captures as well?.  Now dont get me wrong I am glad the guy took it and kudos to him for being in the right place at the right time but I was like "the goon is coming" and he just came right in anyway. All that work to not get the capture for our squad just seems a little depressing.  I could be just whining and my squad is nowhere near number 1 and probably wont be for a long time if ever but I think if you did all the work they should at least give your goon a chance to get there if you have cap.

Egos lol  of all the things to worry about.

If the point of your effort was to capture the base, it was captured.  If the point is to get your name up in lights, then you gotta be quicker than the other guy.

You want the coders to actually waste their time updating the system to announce who captured the base.  Ya, you know, that's a valid point, I mean, who wants the B25 finished, or anything else relevant to get done.  You do, of course, understand that the guy that "stole" that base capture would have gotten the kudos, don't you? Are you suggesting that if, I, for example, saw a base being hammered, and knowing that most of the time the goon doesn't make it, I should Not take one out there and make sure the capture happens?  Perhaps someone should be in charge so that I ask the right person for permission?  

What on earth possesses some of you guys to cause you to think these things out to the worst conclusions?

When we do base captures, all that matters is that we take the base.

I dont care if someone beats me to it. I say WTG, auger, and get ready for the next base to take.

You sound like a cryer.  You want to announce the work you did over Country Channel or even Channel 200, feel free.  

And your wish to "wouldn't it be nice if in addition to kills the SYSTEM also announced who got the field captures as well?"  would only have resulted in the Name in Lights going to the Goon driver that "stole" the capture out from under you in that instance anyways.

Yep, field captured, mission accomplished.  If you were really that concerned about it, I'm pretty sure friendly fire does kill the troopers (or it used to).  'Course, that might make the other gooner a little grumpy.

WHO CARES??!:O  the base was taken. period. that's ALL that matters. our squad REGULARLY asks anyone that might be in the vicinity to bring troops if it'd be faster than one of us getting them. most times, we plan ahead, and have troops somewhere within striking distance, so that once we de-ack, and cover the hangar, we call him in....he's there and troops runnin in les than 30 seconds.

BTW....I was just thinkin last night after me and 12 squaddies decended on a base like armegeddon and wiped out everything in under 1 min ........so you took down all the hangars in less than a minute/? they have a new rapid-fire tiger or panzer we've never heard of yet?
