Actually NASCAR and F1 are very similar when it comes to the actual racing - both rely on pit strategy and aero

Both Ferrari and McLaren have enough money to buy out or compensate someones contract, but I doubt either team have any real plans to replace their drivers. And both McLaren drivers will tow Ron Dennis's line in the end

I see in the papers today that Alfonso is beeing a big baby about the incident rather than just dealing with it in-house. Ive lost further respect for him.

According to "The Times" McLaren will let Alonso go at the end of the current season. Ferrari or BMW, any bets?

Alfonso has been brilliant in picking the team that has gotten its stuff back on track so id put my money on him replacing Kubica in BMW, or maybe Kimi in Ferrari. I think both massa and heidfeld is pretty secure. I think BMW will take another step up next year.

I believe earlier in the season schumi was heard andquoted i wish i hadnt retired, ive been waiting for a driver like hamilton to test me.
And that he may consider returning if the circumstances arose.

I doubt this, must be some fantasy rumors,

he is on the way to get 40, he has a family today,
earned enough cash during his carrier, he won everything
(7 World Championships, still holding alot F1 records), why
should he risk his life again?
there will allways come a fast new youngster like Hamilton,
or Alonso. This guys are hungry, like Schumi when he started
his carrier 16 years ago.
But you cant really compete against a 20-25 year old if you are 40+

Stoping his F1 carrier was the right moment.

100% sure that shumi wont return to F1. Maybe in time he will get a more official role in Ferrari but not as a driver.
