(gawd, I would LOVE it if HT allowed us to change the terrains on our FE's w/ a program like SAC)

think it was the desert terrain with bright pink goons and buffs that pushed AW over the edge.

Wasn't going to mention private stuff here but:

Reason I'm requesting older games is because of some medical stuff my wife is going through, (needs Duo Lung Transplant)

bills are way high and budget way low, will never buy a store baught puter, right now funds are such i cant afford to build a new one.

So at present stuck with old 800 mhz cpu system built before man landed on moon it seems lol  wont handle most newer games, so right now wife lung transplant comes first.

And i wanna keep in practice for when i do return :aok

There are no servers for it, but I think you can still do a LAN connection.

Face it dude, the only way to fly Aces High with more than one other player, is through a paid subscription.

Last news I heard (5 years ago) the game rights had been bought by EA, but with so many other ventures, have done no work on it since (as the graphics and coding are sadly out of date now).

Any other new info on AW since that?

Oh, Lord, sadist I feel for your wife and you! Good luck to you both!

(AW wouldn't work for me on today's vid cards. You might be much better off downloading WarBirds for free. They have a few offline missions, and you can set up your own duels with enemy drones which, at full level of difficulty, are VERY deadly. This will keep you in practise and amused for a long time.

IL-2 has a lot of offline missions, as did AW, so it might be worth a try offline as well. I think WB flight model would be closest to AH though.)

Courage!
