Something for the carriers
« on: August 09, 2007, 02:02:47 AM »
Basically I think that the list of available aircraft for the CVs is a little light.  So I'd request (whether done by vote or an in house decision) that the next new aircraft to be added be one built for carriers.  Perhaps if done by vote that all the choices are sea based planes (sea hurricane, firefly, seafury...)

I would request at the very least though that the sea hurricane be added when the hurri is eventually overhauled.

Seafury is postwar.

Firefly, D4Y or some such would be nice though.

Some sea capable tanks would be cool too, like the ones used at normandy, granted most sank before reaching the shore.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.

Was it design issues of the American tanks at normandy or field conditions?

If you leave it to a vote, you'll just end up with another F4U of some sort.

Judy is the best offensive weapon the blue water plane set could probably get.  A dive bomber with enough speed to actually get to target.

Another thing that would be nice for carriers is to be able to resupply them.

Firefly wasn't a dive bomber, a fighter/bomber rather, but it did 316mph and coulds carry two 1,000lb bombs while being armed with four Hispanos.
