Corky Jr properly christened....
« on: August 10, 2007, 01:38:50 AM »
Fester did another one of his masterpieces of skin work for the 80th FS P38G of Corky Smith.  The 38 was named Corky Jr, which is where I got my AH name from

Its in the game now and it's quite cool to fly my own bird :)

True to form my first flight in Corky Jr was perfect.  Went up into a furball and got one guy.  Got jumped by a Zeke and worked hard to lose him.  No go as he started my right engine flaming and the left was smoking.  I ended up kicking him out front and shooting him down though and then ditched Corky Jr.

My second flight I actually landed, and of course it was single engine.

But it reminded me of this real photo of the actual Corky Jr.  So I guess I'm on the right track :)  Many thanks to Fester for the great work

Now Fester how about a nice bare metal 38L or J.  I love seeing your bare metal and would be eye popping on a P38.  Enough of this ugly OD...make a bare metal 38 next. :D

Kinda like the F-16 pilot who was having engine troubles and requested a priority landing, but was told he had to wait, as there was a B-52 in front of him with an engine out. "Ah, the dreaded 7-engine landing," he quipped.
