Baa Baa Blacksheep was probably one of my favorites.
Uhh, and yes it was origanaly called Baa Baa Blacksheep.

The opening for Miami Vice was pretty cool too.

I'm going to date myself saying this...and I dont have access to YouTube here at work.  But I've gotta say the sad, sad disco and miniature effects of "Space:1999" should cause anyone over 35 a good groan  :)

Heh, Space:1999 rocked. Too bad it was british and paced painfully slow. The miniature sequences made me think of Thunderbirds.

I think M*A*S*H* probably wins this hands down.

Sort of have to put the opening sequence in context of when it was done.  Something done in the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, or 00's.  

Hard to pick a best, but certainly there are those that stand out above the rest in each decade:
COPS,
Hawaii 5-0,
M*A*S*H,
Firefly (and movie Serenity),
Quantum Leap,
Six Million Dollar Man ,  
Fall Guy,
Space:1999 (hey, it was 1975),
Miami Vice,
Magnum P.I.
Simon and Simon,
Rockford Files,
The West Wing,
Sopranos,
CSI and CSI Miami,
JAG
