Correct me if I'm wrong, but that should only work offline.

You can't go changing the map objects and expect different folks with different sets to both be able to shoot up the same strat... It's a conflict. I think it'd mess you up in online play somehow.

Oh, I see! I thought it was changing the strat to look like the screenshot you showed. Now that I look at it closer I can see it's tank town, not a strat! :aok

Reminds me a tad of Scenario Aircraft Converter (did I get that wrong?) that you could use with Air Warrior.

Great job! :aok

BUT, I cant stop thinkin that people start making their own textures... for example terrain without trees etc.. you could spot nme GVs easy and drop bombs to them. ..

I think we do need development in graphics section but game environment should be the same for everyone in MA.

Hmm, well you can't change trees on other maps than your own, which is a good thing if you ask me.
I just think that current terrain textures we have are just ugly and plain.
I liked the ones we had before.

Oh and, these textures work only with 1024 texture pack

I think it looks ok, pretty good croduh, I am interested in HTC's stance on it though, to see if they are going to allow players to go in and edit/manipulate/change the games original cache files of textures/tiles.....

hope  for the good of the community and HTC there is a way it can be allowed so it benefits both the community & HTC.

Good Luck on your efforts, maybe a suggestion to think about is to ask them 1st if  they would mind before you attempted or at least posted publically.......

I really like the clouds, nice work

Looks very nice.

How can we get it to work in 512?

I can't run HiRes online.

Well, i did post in my original thread they can delete the thread if i am doing anything that is not allowed, i am well aware that this is out of usual "terrain making and editing", but so far i haven't seen any reaction from HTC.
I would like to see their position on this, if they don't feel that this is ok, then ok, files will be removed.

The visual effects and clouds most likely wouldn't be a problem.

It's when you crossed the line, changing the terrain textures on the widely used MA terrains that is rubbing some people the wrong way. It opens a can of worms that is probably going to be very hard to close now.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
