one i have been working on and off on for a little while. found it in my folder and thought i'd finish it today. hope you guys like!

I want to know how you did the flame and smoke. That's the type of graphics I'd love to see in AH.

very easy, although it takes a lot of tinkering time to get it looking real.

fire was just a light yellow colour painted on, with an outer glow of red as a layer effect. then i just used the smudge tool to make it look like a fire that was licking up the side of the planes. smoke was just about painting black on, using the smudge tool softly to whip it about a bit, and using the dodge and burn tools to give it volume and stuff.

easy, just takes time

Dang...I can't make mine that smooth looking...When I get done it looks like it's been pixeled 5 times over.

Biggles can you make it so the spitfire pilot is smilig and waving to the german pilot as he falls from the sky?

And it'd be pretty cool to see what you can do with a cv screenie

not that i'm saying you should do one of those as your next screenie maybe with a flight deck full of F4U's fully loaded with eggs and rkts, NO why would I say you should do that kind of screenie next?

well, i'm off to australia tomorrow,but i was thinking of trying to do an F6F landing on a CV in really bad weather.

Save the image to my computer, open the image, save it as a .bmp. Open the image in paint, re size it to 1024 x 1024. Fill in the blank spots (white) with black. Save the image, open the image in Adobe, move the picture to the center, save the image as a "JPEG High" naming it "ahlogo.jpg"

Afterwards I move the image to my "Aces High II" folder in the HTC directory.

I have been doing this for a while and make them every once and a while for the AK's, just for some motivation before we log in. Have also done a few others including one for the "Lighting Lancers" with 68KO's patch. Here is our current one... Arabian Knights AH-Login
